Do you have to go through the CRI to create a company in Morocco in 2026?
No, going through the regional investors' desk is not mandatory to create a company: registration is issued by the commercial court registry (greffe du tribunal de commerce) of the registered office (siège social) (Law No. 15-95 enacting the Commercial Code [Code de commerce]; Law No. 53-95), for fees of approximately 1,200 MAD. Since Law No. 88-17 on the electronic creation of companies, all formalities can be completed remotely with an advanced electronic signature (Law No. 43-20). With Charikaty, you complete the entire process online, with no travel at all.

This online process covers the OMPIC negative certificate (certificat négatif), the drafting and electronic signature of the articles of association (statuts), the filing of the registration file with the Commercial Register (Registre du Commerce, RC), obtaining the tax identification number (IF), the Common Company Identifier (ICE) and the business tax (taxe professionnelle), then CNSS affiliation.
Can you create your company without traveling?
Three texts make travel unnecessary:
- Law No. 88-17 (2019) on the electronic creation of companies and their support: putting together the file, signing the articles of association, filing the registration application and obtaining the identifiers can all be done remotely (steps detailed in the guide on how to create a company 100% online in Morocco).
- Law No. 43-20 on trust services for electronic transactions: the advanced electronic signature, issued by a provider approved by the DGSSI, is the recommended level for company deeds and makes it possible to sign the articles of association remotely, without having to travel to have signatures legalized.
- The Commercial Code (Law 15-95) and Law 53-95: registration (immatriculation) in the Commercial Register falls under the commercial court registry of the registered office. Tax identifiers are assigned by the DGI and affiliation by the CNSS (Dahir 1-72-184 of 27 July 1972).
Each administration issues its own document (negative certificate, RC extract, IF, ICE, TP, affiliation): see the role of each administration in registration. A private platform such as Charikaty prepares the file, has it signed, files it and follows it up with each of them.
