Selling online without a company hits a wall fast.
Supplier credibility
Serious wholesalers and brands require an RC and an ICE before opening a trade account for you.
Online payments
Card payment providers only activate their service for registered companies with RC and ICE.
Assets protected
The SARL separates your personal assets from the store's. A customer dispute never reaches your home.
AE ceiling exceeded
Beyond 500,000 DH of collected revenue, the auto-entrepreneur status no longer keeps up (law 114-13).

Everything we get asked about e-commerce.
Can I sell online as an auto-entrepreneur?
Yes, if you work alone and your collected revenue stays under 500,000 DH per year (law 114-13), with a flat 0.5% income tax on commercial revenue. But without a company you get no supplier credibility, no team, and your activity caps out fast. The SARL AU takes over as soon as things take off.
What must my website display?
Law 31-08 (articles 29, 30 and 32) requires you to display before the order: your identity, RC, capital, tax ID, product characteristics and price, delivery times and costs, and the right of withdrawal, then confirm everything on a durable medium. Breaches carry a fine of 1,200 to 10,000 DH (article 177).
Do I need to declare my customer files to the CNDP?
Yes. As soon as your site collects names, addresses, phone numbers or purchase histories, law 09-08 requires you to declare these processings to the CNDP or obtain its authorization. Chapter VII of the law provides sanctions for unlawful processing. CNDP compliance support is included in the Pro Pack.
What VAT applies to my online store?
The standard 20% rate (2026 Tax Code, article 99-A). You become compulsorily VAT-liable when your previous year's taxable revenue reaches 2,000,000 DH (article 89-I-2°-b). Corporate income tax is 20% (article 19-I-A). Your Charikaty accountant sets up the right regime from registration.
How do I pay my ads and tools abroad (Meta, Shopify…)?
Through the Foreign Exchange Office's e-commerce allowance: a minimum of 50,000 DH per year for a newly created company (IGOC 2026), and up to 2,000,000 DH for ADD-labelled startups. We guide you through activating it at incorporation.
